#9

"A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on."

Waiting for a new baby brother.
I am so excited to tell you that our next grandchild, due to be born on Dec 5, is a BOY!

Cole, Carter, Cali and Chloe are excited about a new cousin.

We were not at all surprised that it is another boy.  I don't think anyone else was either.  It didn't really matter to me, I will take what I am given.  I want a dozen, so that is 3 more after Dec 5!

Camryn loves babies and is already talking about her new cousin.

Chloe On The Pitch

"The most precious jewels are not made of stone, but of flesh."
Chloe did much better with soccer this time around.  She didn't cry and really went after the ball. Before her first game I told her to work hard.  She said, "Don't worry about me Mam, I'm tough!"  When she scored she would always give us that beautiful smile.  Looking forward to her Fall Season.

Baby J Is Walking

"I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday."
Yesterday I had an email that told me Baby J is taking about 10 steps at a time.  Look out when he starts running!  He is so cute but gets into anything and everything that he shouldn't.  Miss him so much and can't wait to see him again.
In a few weeks, my precious baby boy will be having his first birthday.  We will need to Skype on that day. I just HAVE to see him on his birthday!

Family Tournament

"Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life."
Yesterday, our soccer club had a 4 Aside Tournament.  Both Cole and Carter's teams played.  What made it so special was that 2 of my great nephews came to be guest players on each of the teams.  Mason played on Cole's team and Luke played on Carter's team.  It was so much fun, even though the day was a scorcher.  My camera stopped working, but I got a few pictures, not near enough though. We all think that the Mees should move from Long Island to Pennsylvania.

Bethany and Camryn were here for the day also, so the little girls were together again.  They played together nicely and do a good job of sharing.  It is so much fun watching them.

Cali is always so sweet to Camryn.

Dutiful sisters trying to watch the game.  It was so hot, I brought them home to swim before the tourney was over.  Jonathan and Alex came also. Everyone needed a break from the heat.

Three of my four precious girls.  Maybe we'll have a fifth in December.

Pap and Grandma were here for lunch and the first game.  The loved visiting with my niece and her 4 boys. After the tournament was over, the kids went swimming and we did burgers on the grill.  Those boys really deserved a dip in the pool.

Camryn with Pap.  She was sharing her doll with him.

Camryn with Grandma and her Mommy.

Wish I had more pictures to post, but my camera is having a lense problem.

Been Having Computer Problems

I've been having some computer problems the last few days.  Hubby tried to get it fixed and had everything deleted. Hoping to get this going again.

Sunshine on The Fourth of July

"You have to love a nation that celebrates it's independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."  Erma Bombeck
We celebrated today with Troy, Camryn (Sunshine) and my parents.  It was a beautiful day, not too hot, just right.  We also celebrated Carl's birthday, which is really tomorrow.  When I brought out the cake, Camryn got so excited.  She said, "I want some of that" and came running to the table.  She helped PopPop blow out the candles first, then enjoyed the cheesecake topped with strawberries and blueberries.
After lunch it was time to hit the pool.  She loved it.  Soon it was naptime, we all had a snooze.
After a good nap, she was ready for the water table and the pool.  She wasn't very happy when she had to get out of the pool and get dressed for dinner.  But she is such a good little girl and obeyed her daddy.
What's the 4th of July without watermelon?  It's messy but she loved it.

She really wanted to go swimming again after dinner, but daddy said no, it was time to start packing up. She decided that taking her baby for a walk might be fun.  It was, but not as much fun as the pool!  Next time, baby girl.

More Pictures

"A good snapshot stops a moment from running away."
The kids didn't want to leave the creek.  I didn't either.  It meant taking them home for their naps and saying goodbye.  They were flying home to the UAE the next day.  Of course I cried when we dropped them off, gave hugs and kisses and said goodbye.  Hopefully, we will get to see them in a few months.  Goodbyes are so hard.  I will NEVER get used to them.
Troy took Camryn home for a nap, so his goodbyes were said first.  I started to cry even then.

Camry giving goodbye hugs to her cousins.  She is really going to miss them.  They played together almost every day for the past 2 months.  The first thing she asked for every morning was to go see her cousins.

They went back to playing in the creek after Troy and Camryn left.  My heart was getting very heavy by then.

It was time to take them back for their naps, so I took one last picture of them with PopPop before they changed into their clothing.

It was hard to smile for this picture.  I'm always the one taking the pictures and just decided that I needed one of me with the kids.  After this was taken, my Dumpling was giving me lots of hugs and telling me how much she would miss me.  NOT NEAR AS MUCH AS I WILL MISS THEM!!

The Water Was Cold

"Angels are all around us, in the very air we breath."

After the park, we went to McDonalds for carry-out and then drove to the creek for a picnic.  The kids were hungry from all the exercise they got that morning.  Once they were finished, into the creek they went.  It was at a very shallow part and they loved it, even though they said it was cold.  Each of them did their own thing, but I think the favorite was throwing rocks so the water would splash.  PopPop and Troy threw the big ones and they made big splashes.  My "Enchilada" kept saying, "This is amazing!"  I was taking pictures and didn't get in the water, but they made sure to pour water on my feet.  It WAS cold!

Cheeseburgers and Fries!

Testing the water.
Whoops!!
Looking for shells.
She wanted to lay down and kick.
Trying to catch a tiny fish.

Camryn was getting tired, so Troy took her home for a nap.  The other 2 stayed and played for another hour or so.  There are so many cute pictures of them, I think I'll need to do another post on this.
