Yummy Steak!

After the church dedication, we went to Hoss's Steak House for lunch. Camryn was the best little girl. She smiled at everyone and watched us eat. She was even smacking her lips at times letting us know she could eat a steak also. Maybe next time baby girl!

Church Dedication Continued

We took alot of pictures and she was the perfect little lady.

Church Dedication

"A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on." Carl Sandburg

Sunday morning was Camry's church dedication. There were 12 babies dedicated, but Camryn was the cutest and best behaved one! The minister talked about each baby and what their names meant. He said what he wished for each one and held each one as he prayed for them. It was such a blessing that we could be there to witness it.

Haircut

"You can't wrap love in a box, but you can wrap a person in a hug."

Chloe has always loved going with me for a haircut. Cali hasn't been as thrilled. She cried the first time when Deanna washed my hair! Deanna is so good with the kids and they just love her. If you look closely, you can see she is wearing the "Thanksgiving bracelet" Chloe made for her. I have an appointment again in December that Chloe is looking forward to. Maybe she is thinking about making a "Christmas bracelet."?!!

The Post Office

"Hug Department: Always Open"

The girls love going to the Post Office to visit Aunt Shelley. Cali is always so excited to go, but when we get there she plays shy, that is, until Aunt Shell brings out the CANDY!! It works everytime.

She Loves to EAT

"One of the most powerful handclasps is that of a new grandbaby around the finger of a grandfather." Joy Hargrove

Miss Camryn May loves to eat! She thinks she's big enough to feed herself.

Giving

"It isn't the size of the gift that matters, but the size of the heart that gives it." Eileen Freeman

Chloe is showing PopPop the blanket that she bought to send to the orphanage in Linxiang, China. She wanted to make sure that the babies are kept warm. She did ask me "If the babies don't have mommies, who will cover them with the blanket?" I assured her that the babies have nannies that are with them all the time. She seemed to feel a little better then.

Down Time

"Grandmother-grandchild relationships are simple. Grandmas are short on criticism and long on love." unknown

Homework all done, no practices, feels great just to lay on the floor and watch TV.

Caught Again!

"Do you know why grandchildren are always so full of energy? They suck it out of their grandparents." Gene Perret

Every day she tries to get on the computer and every day I say NO!

Mmm! Chocolate Chip Cookies

"I might not be rich, but I do have priceless grandchildren."

Camryn was helping her mommy bake chocolate chip cookies for the Messiah Soccer Teams. Both the mens and womens teams are in the national quarterfinals this weekend. GO MESSIAH!

Rainbow Day

"Rainbows apologize for angry skies." Sylvia Voirel

Today was Rainbow Day at pre-school. Chloe had the perfect dress to wear. The only problem was, she wanted to also wear striped tights that didn't match her dress. We had a very long conversation about that and MamMam won that one. We didn't need to make a bracelet, she already had several to pick from. Her new project is making Thanksgiving bracelets for her whole class!

My Sick Boy

"A house needs a grandma in it." Louisa May Alcott

Carter was so sick today. Doesn't he look so pittiful?! He stayed on the sofa all day today and slept alot. He did manage to eat his favorite scrambled eggs and toast though!! It's only a matter of time until everyone else gets it and they are planning on going to Florida over Thanksgiving vacation.

Disney

"The perfect shoes can change your life." Cinderella

The girls are getting ready for their trip to Florida after Thanksgiving. Chloe is so excited about having breakfast at the Castle with Cinderella. She loves anyting "princess" and wants everything "princess."

They have a countdown of how many days until they leave. I will really miss them and worry about them until they are safe at home.

GMU

"The more you sweat in practice the less you bleed in battle."

The nephew Ty is a freshman wrestling at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. We went to his first match in Sunday in Salem, Virginia. We were so glad to see him, but he looked so pale. Before he left for college, he came to say goodbye. He looked better than I have ever seen him. He had great color and was physically fit, lots of muscles. Cutting 20 lbs. for wrestling has taken all the sparkle out of his eyes. He also was sick with the flu about 2 weeks ago. We are so proud of him and hope he starts feeling better soon. We will see him wrestle again on Sunday in Binghamton, NY.

Day Off

"Have grandchildren while you are young enough to take care of them"
Last Friday the kids didn't have school, teacher conferences I guess. The morning started out wonderful. Carter was so nice with his little sister Cali. They were back in Chloe's bedroom, Chloe was at pre-school, and he was taking care of Cali. They were watching Ruby and Max and he was getting her crackers to eat. It didn't last long, but was nice while it did.
When Chloe came home for school, she was running a fever of 101.8, although she said she wasn't sick. So it was tylenol and bed for her. She was still coughing today, so I kept her home from pre-school. It wasn't an easy thing to do, but they don't want them coming if they are coughing. She really wanted to go for "pink"day.

Pops Girl

"Never have children, only grandchildren." Gore Vidal

I think PopPop enjoys all his little girls!

Coke Bottle

"A granddaughter is a gift of love."

Too bad this precious thing doesn't have ANY toys! She has to play with a coke bottle.

Guess we'll have to change that.

Christmas is coming baby girl.

My Girl

"Family faces are magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future." Gail Lumet Buckley

That's my girl!
