Our Royal Day

"Every now and then, when the world sits just right, a gentle breath of heaven fills my soul with delight."
Friday was the Royal Wedding and Chloe was so excited.  We decided that we would have our own Royal Reception.  I got up around 3AM to watch everything on the computer.  The wedding was so beautiful and Kate was a beautiful bride.  Everything but the ride to the Palace was over by the time I got to see the girls.

When I walked in, the girls were dressed in their princess dresses and had on the hats we made the day before.  Chloe was so interested in all the hats that were going to be worn, so the girls made their own with flowers and feathers.  Their princess table and chairs were in front of the TV along with all their princess dolls.  She had the table set with  wedding paper plates, cups and napkins.  We even had favors filled with M&M's.

It was so much fun serving them a breakfast of English Muffins, tea, orange juice and fresh strawberries.  They were loving their "Royal Wedding Breakfast".
The girls missed the actual wedding, but they did see the kiss on the balcony, which was Chloe's favorite of the day.  We watched the reruns all morning.  They also had made placemats for their breakfast, but we forgot about them. Good thing Chloe remembered.  They used them when I served  their Royal Lunch of fancy finger sandwiches.  It was a fun day and I hope it's something that girls will always remember.

Chloe was more than happy to show her placemat, featuring William and Kate, but Cali was done and said "No more pictures!"   She went to her room and watched a movie.

Monday Night Baseball

"Jumping for joy is good exercise."
Monday night, Cole had a Little League game and Chloe had a T-Ball practice.  The fields are side by side, so we could watch a little of each.  Cole started out pitching and was doing a good job until the fourth inning.  No one could catch a ball and then he started walking batters, so he went to short stop.  Chloe was all smiles after her practice and is so excited for her first game on Wednesday.  She has ballet first then on the way home she will change into her baseball uniform.  She told me not to worry if I didn't see her there right away, because she would be late.

Cali and I walked over to Chloe's practice to see how she was doing.  It looked like she was having such a good time and wasn't intimidated by all the boys.

After her practice, I noticed that she had on her ballet necklace.  I told her I didn't think baseball and her ballet necklace went together.  She just laughed and said she forgot she had it on .  She also said that if she was really running late to her game, she was just going to play ball in her tutu and twirl down to first base. I told her to forget the tutu and just RUN to first base!

Happy Easter

"Twas Easter-Sunday, the full-blossomed trees filled all the air with fragrance and joy."

We had so much fun at our Easter Gathering!  The weather didn't allow our egg hunt to be in the grass, so I hid the eggs, as best I could, in the house and on the porch.  It was utter confusion, but the kids enjoyed themselves.  I decided not to do the traditional Ham Dinner, and opted for Chicken and Waffles.  My sister-in-law brought her famous strawberry dessert.  That is always a hit.
They each had a specific color of egg they needed to look for.  Some eggs had candy, money or tickets for prizes.  It was fun to watch them rip open the eggs for the prizes.

My great-niece, Bella, had so much fun and didn't want to go home!
All the kids were so good, the older ones did alot of entertaining.

Most of the eggs weren't hidden very well, but there isn't that much space on the porch.

Love My Boys

"The way to love anything is to realize that it might be lost."

My sons are such good fathers.  They all spend a lot of time with their kids doing various things. This is one of the cutest pictures, Troy is combing Camryn's hair, getting her ready for the Easter Egg Hunt.

They"re Coming For A Visit!

"Never fear shadows.  They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby."
My "Far-away Family" is coming for a visit next week.  My son has been having back problems and has been here for over a week.  The doctor told him yesterday to bring his family over, his recovery will take several weeks yet.  We are so anxious to see them, but wish that the circumstances were different.  I cry just thinking about holding them again.  Can't wait til they get here.

My "Enchilada" wants to come to Pennsylvania to see his daddy.

She said she wants to come to "America".

Baby "J" has no idea how long a 15 hour plane ride is.  However, his Mom does!  I just hope and pray for all of them it's a safe and uneventful journey.  Can't wait to see you!

Early Birthday Present

"A granddaughter is the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future."

Cali's birthday is tomorrow, she will be 3!  We went shopping on Wednesday for her present.  It was early, but that makes it special just like Cali.  She was cooking hamburgers and hot dogs all afternoon.  We took the little table in the living room with her grill and she was serving us anything and everything you could imagine.  She loved the grill, but I think her favorite present was the dog that blew bubbles.

Camryn loves swimming lessons.   She couldn't wait to put on her bathing suit.

Spring Soccer

"In spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt."

It was the first game of the season for Cole and Carter this past weekend.  Carter's game was away, so I didn't get to see that one.  Cole's team won 3-1 on Sunday.  Chloe has her first game Saturday morning at 9am.  Hope it's not too cold.

Helpers

"Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something."

Last week when I was still in the UAE, I decided to sweep the sidewalk.  Little did I know that I was going to get LOTS of help.
