Ready for Work

"Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important."

He wanted to dress like his daddy does when he goes to work.  Love that smile and those pearly whites!

Pretending

" A granddaughter is a day brightener and a heart warmer."
Camryn loves her dolls.  When I was there on Tuesday, she was giving her baby a bath.  That poor baby was washed so many times, I'm surprised that she has any skin left.  If she finds a mark on the baby it's a "boo-boo" and we have to kiss it.  She also pretends to put lotion and power on her babies.  I think she's going to grow up to be a good mommy!  She has a very good role-model.

Free Time

"Snowmen fall from heaven - unassembled."
Last week, the boys had a day off from school.  I was hopeing to get some good pictures of them.  When I went to check on them they were playing with "whatever" those things are called.  I don't even talk to them while they are playing "whatever it is they are playing."  They are so into it, they don't hear me anyway.  That's ok, at least it kept them busy and not fighting.

Projects,Projects,Projects

"As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life."
I guess you can call our projects "art".  The girls, especially Chloe, beg to do projects every day.  I try to keep it simple so  Cali can do them without much trouble.  Chloe follows directions very well, and can do things on her own.  At Christmas we did foam gingerbread houses, kits from Michaels, and she completed hers without any help from me. Cali and I had trouble with hers, guess we should have let Chloe do both of them!!

Anyway, these are a few pictures of their latest creations. They did the duck pictures using construction and tissue paper.  The cardinal started out as a paper plate and the penguin was called mosaic art using construction paper.  The girls use LOTS of glue, so it takes quite awhile for the things to dry.  We usually hang them in the diningroom and then they get posted on their bedroom doors. Chloe was telling me this evening what projects she was interested in doing this week.  I hope there is enough time in the day to get everything done!!

Another Princess

"Through the eyes of a princess."
I guess we have another little princess in the family. She now joins Princess Chloe and Princess Cali.  Camryn isn't old enough yet to like the princess stuff, but she is getting there.  We have been sending Princess things to the UAE and it's so much fun.  I never got to buy princess things for my kids.  They would have looked kind of funny in it anyway!

He's growing so fast.  I haven't held him since he was 8 weeks old.  Can't wait to get my hands on him!!!    Here he is, trying to open one of the Christmas presents we sent to him.

Perfectly, Beautiful Snow

"When it snows, you have 2 choices: shovel or make snow angels.
Cali loves to have scrambled eggs for breakfast.  She gets the pan, knife, fork and butter for me.  I get the egg, she's afraid she will drop it.  She sits on the cupboard to watch me make the egg and occassionally sneaks some butter.  Then she hands me the spatula and her plate.

Yesterday, we had a 2 hour delay of school because of the snow. She already had breakfast by the time I got there, but still wanted an "eggie."   While she was sitting there, I asked her if she liked the snow.  She said "It's perfectly, beautiful.  Maybe it's Christmas again.  There are 4 more presents I want."  I informed that Christmas wasn't coming for a long time.  She didn't care, she just wanted to get outside and play in the snow.  When we walked Chloe to K in the afternoon, Cali went through every snow drift she could find!

Say Cheeese!!

"You are never fully dressed without a smile."
Since Camryn is such a fan of Frosty, I had to get her this headband at the $ Store.  She puts in on and then shakes her head to make the Frosties bobble.  She has so many expressions and was ready when her mom said "Say Cheese."

My daughter-in-law, Bethany, has a wonderful website.  You should go there and see really good pictures of Camryn!    http://blessedsauerfamily.blogspot.com/

Fun On The Camels Back

"One kind word can warm three winter months."
Look at the weather my "Far-away Family"  are enjoying!  Helps a little bit looking at  this, since we had some snow last  night and a 2 hour delay of school today.

When I was talking to my "Enchilada" on the phone the other day, he was telling me something about a camel and having fun.  I think this must have been one of those times.  Oh man, I can feel that sun on my face right now!  It's around 85 degrees right now.  Sounds good, but I wouldn't like their summers, 120 degrees!!!

First Day

"The world always looks better from behind a smile."
Today was my "Dumplings" first day of pre-school in the UAE.  We were all so excited to hear how she did.  She did great!  She fell going down the slide and hit her head.  She said she had to cry.  I was thinking to myself,  "It's so cold for little kids to be outside on the playground."  Yeah, then I remembered, it's 85 degrees there!!

I gave her a call and she told me about some of her day.  She had a good time and met some friends.  Her brother really missed her.  He kept asking his mom where she was.  I"m pretty sure she missed him also.  With her personality, she is going to succeed in whatever she does.   When her mommy picked her up from school, the teacher said that someone asked her what her name was. She told them and then said  "I'm from China."
