Strawberries, Waffles and Whipped Cream

"Strawberries are the angels of the earth, innocent and sweet with green leafy wings reaching heavenward."

September first was Chloe's sixth birthday.  She LOVES strawberries, so we had strawberries, homemade waffles and whipped cream for breakfast.  She was so excited and needed to have a candle on top her waffle while we sang the Happy Birthday song.

I guess all birthdays are exciting for kids, but this girl was really flying high.  She even went to wake her brothers, which is rare, so that we all could have breakfast.  Spaghetti and meatballs was enjoyed for lunch with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert.  Once again we had to sing Happy Birthday as another candle was lit.  It was fun to see her so excited.  She has such a huge personality anyway, but that day she just glowed.

Sunday was our family party.  She came into the house with all kids of decorations and she and her mom got the deck ready for the party.  She wanted her cake to have ballet shoes surrounded by flowers.  Last year it was a soccer ball and ballet shoes!

Every one was waiting for the first piece of cake.  Of course it went to Chloe, but Camryn and Cali were there patiently waiting.

Her favorite gift by far was from Troy, Bethany and Camryn.  Knowing that she is a big fan of the Cake Boss, they got her a cake decorating kit that has FONDANT with it.  She loves FONDANT and has always wanted to make flowers like Buddy.  I think we have created the next Cake Boss - look out Buddy!!

Aunt Bethany coaches soccer at Messiah College, so this t-shirt was a big hit  along with the  nail polish that she "really needed" from cousin Bella. She loved all of her presents and kept looking at them all afternoon.

We did get a little swimming in before the rain came and made all of us go inside. We managed to save all the decorations of balloons, butterflies and flowers.  She is also the Decorating Queen.  This girl has a zest for life and as precious as she looks in her TuTu, she is just as cute in her soccer or baseball uniform.  Well rounded is what we want for her and it looks like she is  on her way.  Love you Chloe, my LoveBug.  You light up my life.
