Halloween

"When black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam, may luck be yours on Halloween."
The girls came halloweening tonight dressed as a crab and a mermaid. The boys only came along for the treats.

Bats Are Cute?!!

"Caution! Low flying bats."

Cali wore her bat sweatshirt to the soccer game.  She was showing us how she flies!
Isn't she the cutest bat you've ever seen?

By the way, I love getting comments.

Playground Fun

"Loving is never a waste of time."

One of their favorite things to do is go to the playground.  This was the last time we went to the playground before they moved.  Oh March, please hurry and come so I can fly to see my babies!!

Win 100

"The key is not the "will to win" - everybody has that.  It is the will to prepare to win that is important."

Last Saturday, Christopher got his 100th win as a soccer coach at our high school.  It was very special for him since this is also his alma mater.  Two years ago, he attained his 100th win that included his first coaching job at another school.  He said this one meant much more.  Coaching is not an easy job, you need to have a "love" for it.  He has always had that kind of passion for the game of soccer, which I am so thankful for!  The boys, Cole and Carter, go to all of the practices with him and are the game managers.  When the 3 of them walk to practice together, they always say a prayer as they enter the stadium,  asking for safety and wisdom.  He wants the team to be well respected on and off and field.  I do know that they have a great respect for him.  Proud of you son.

See Ya Later

"Sisterhood is powerful."
We walk Chloe to Kindergarden every day.  They live right beside the school, so it just means walking through the parking lot.  Some days, Cali doesn't want to go because she is watching "Little Bear."  We always hurry to get Sissy to school so she can return to the show.  Most days, we feed their rabbit 'Peanutbutter' on the way back.  If it's raining I'll try to get out of it, but she always says "I have to MamMam!"  There is no changing her mind.  After that, we stop to talk to their dog 'Rooney' and usually bring him inside for his "NAP" also.  Cali tells me every day that it's not 'nappy' time,  but she doesn't have any trouble falling asleep.

Most times she is still sleeping when they get home around 4:00, but if  awake she starts yelling "SISSY"!  Then the battles begin all over again!

Fallfest

"Winter is an etching, spring a water color, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all."
Last weekend we were on "Camryn" duty, so we took her to a nearby Fallfest.  She loved it!  It was a beautiful day, warm with such bright sunshine.  We went to the pumpkin patch and let her pick the one she wanted.  They had wagons there to haul the pumpkins, so of course Camryn wanted in with the pumpkin.  She loved the animals.  I think her favorite was the white bunny.  ALL  of us were tired when we got home!

Puppy Kisses

"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."

Last week one day, this is what I saw on my way to the car.   Carter and Rooney.

Holding Baby J

"Everybody needs a lap."

I love babies and holding them is always so special.  Baby J is such a cuddler.  I haven't held him for almost 2 weeks, but I can still smell his hair and feel how soft his skin is.  We miss him so much and hope he doesn't grow too much until we can love on him again.

Cheese Curls

"Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine."
Maybe if I hide this cheese curl before Mommy sees it, I can get it later.  They're my favorite ya know!

Her First And Last

"Adopt the pace of nature:  her secret is patience."

Chloe's first soccer game also became her last of the season.  I was so proud of her and thought she did a good job.  She scored a goal and was so excited.  It got a little rough and she was tackled from behind and did a face-plant at midfield, came off the field crying.  When she went back in, she was hit in the face with a ball and later tripped again.  She was crying and couldn't get herself back together again.  Her mommy and daddy told her she needed to stop crying or she was going home, and if she went home, she wasn't playing anymore.  She went home crying, but a few days later wanted to play again.  They said NO.  She says she will play again in the spring.  Girls are so different than boys and she just needs another chance to prove herself.  GO CHLOE!!

The Call

"I dropped a tear in the ocean.  The day you find it is the day I will stop missing  you."
I heard from our 'far-away' family today.  I was expecting an email but not a phone call, in fact, I almost didn't answer the phone!  It was so good to hear his voice, but it made me cry.  They are doing fine and meeting co-workers.  They had shipped toys early so the kids would have them when they arrived, but the toys didn't get there yet.  Co-workers are loaning them toys and other things they need until everything gets there.  Two of the kids are sleeping well, but my "Dumpling" is having a little trouble with the time difference.  I'm sure once all of her things get there she will feel better.  Hopefully in 2 weeks they will have their internet and phone ready to go and we can Skype.

These are pictures from the middle of September when the moving van was there.  We were on the deck eating lunch and the kids needed to see where all of their things were going.  Seeing the playroom packed up was a little traumatic for my "Dumpling".
