"It is the love of country that has lighted and keeps glowing the holy fire of patriotism."
What a hot day to celebrate! Troy, Bethany and Camryn came in the morning to do some early swimming before it got too hot to enjoy the day. We had a nice lunch on the deck. Camryn loved the pool today, but didn't take a morning nap, so she was really ready for bed at naptime. Meltdown!!
Later, Christopher, Carla and the kids came to swim before our picnic at the mountain. I was hoping that it would be cooler at the mountain, but it didn't seem like it was. Everyone was so hot, it was almost unbearable. We didn't see the bear or her cubs today. They must have been hiding deep in the woods to escape the heat! Happy 4th!
Happy 4th! We had a hot and muggy day here in St. Louis too!

It seems like no matter where you live, the 4th is ALWAYS hot and muggy! Must be part of living in America--ha ha. The pool sounds like it was great way to stay cool. Happy 4th!
