Memorial Day

"And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free.  And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me."

Last Field Trip

"There are many things in life that will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart.  Pursue those."

Last field trip of the year, YEAH!!  Not many kids came to the animal farm today.  I guess  with graduation being over and it being a holiday weekend,  everyone decided it was just too much.  The girls had a good time, especially on the bus ride where all the deer came up to the bus.  They fed them crackers, or I should say "threw" them crackers.  The Petting Zoo was really a hit with Cali.  I guess in a few years, when it's Cali's turn for pre-school, we'll be back there again.

Pre-School Graduation

"I hope your dreams take you to the corners of your smiles, to the highest with your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known."

Chloe graduated from pre-school on Wednesday evening.  I can't believe my baby girl is ready to go to Kindergarden!  She is the youngest member of her class, but by far the leader.  She was a "red crayon" in their little presentation and did a great job.

Two Years Later

"We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life.  But those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within  the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands.

Gotcha Day

"Adoption is when a child grew in it's mommy's heart instead of her tummy"

Today is the second anniversary of the Dumpling's Gotcha Day in China.

Emergency 101

"The guardian angels of life fly so high as to be beyond our sight, but they are always looking down upon us."

My precious Camryn needed and emergency breathing treatment yesterday.  Luckily, Bethany heard her gasping over the baby monitor and called the doctor.  They are closer to the doctor than to the hospital, so they told her to come there.  Steroids and a breathing treatment later, she is doing fine.  Mommy and Daddy are still a little shakey!

Long Island

"When preparing to travel, lay out all your clothes and all your money.  Then take half your clothes and twice the money."

Chloe and I traveled to Long Island, New York for the weekend.  We got stuck in traffic in New Jersey and it took us 1 hour to go 1 mile.  Chloe didn't mind, she was sleeping.
We went to visit my niece, Jodi, and her family.  My great niece, Emily, had a dance recital that we wanted to see.  (that will be another post)  We had a good time , but the weekends are just not long enough to do everything we wanted to do.   The boys had soccer and lacrosse games we couldn't get to.  We weren't  even off the island and Chloe said, "When are we going back to Jodi's?"  She loves it there.  They spoil her!!

Good Morning Mam!

"If people were meant to pop out of  bed, we'd all sleep in a toaster."
I am NOT a morning person at all.  It is so hard for me to get out of bed in the morning.  Somehow, it is all worth it when I walk into Christopher's house every morning.  This is what greeted me yesterday.  "HI MAM!"

How I love that T shirt!!!  That's my boy!

Mommy Said "Not In Your Mouth"

"I guess I have never really doubted that we are all born to our guardian angel."

Camryn loves putting everything in her mouth.  She always looks at her Mommy to see if it's "OK".  Mommy usually says "no".  Camryn just makes the funniest faces.  She likes to hold my camera, but this week the little stinker erased some of my pictures.  I don't even know how to do that.

Shopping

"Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didnt know where to go shopping."

Bethany and I went shopping at the Hershey Outlets.  The only time I like to shop is if it's for my grandchildren.  Camryn made out very well!   She loved looking at all of her new clothing.  Trying them on was a different story.

Temper Tantrum

"Patience is your ability to count down before you blast off."

He is such a good boy, but when he is tired, look out!  Needless to say, he went for an early nap on this day.

If Only She Was A Few Inches Taller!

"Spread your wings and let the fairy in you fly."

She can hit the ball, but it's a struggle.  The batting T is about the same size as she is.

Love Chasing Butterflies

"Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you."

Beauty Times Two

"Beauty is when you look into a womans eyes and see what is in her heart."

My 2 beautiful nieces,  Amanda and Jodi.  I always begged them to come live with me so I could have a daughter.  I promised everything I could think of, neither one of them took the offer!

I wish I could post all of the pictures.  They are on Facebook, if anyone would like to see all of them.

Sweet Sixteen

"That it will never come again is what makes '16' so sweet."

My great-niece, Emily, is 16 today.  She has turned into such a caring, beautiful girl.  Her parents hosted a beautiful party in her honor at the Hotel Hershey on Saturday evening.  Everything was gorgeous!  The food was great and it was just fun being with everyone.

She did a "Lighting of 16 Candles"  remembering good times with family and friends.  She started out with her parents then went on to her brothers, grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  It was something that I have never seen before, but I loved it.  She did such a good job with it.

They also did a ceremony that was  a "Rite of Passage"  to the age of 16 and womanhood. It was a touching ceremony and  so good to know that she has  wonderful parents there to support her through good and bad.

Happy Sweet 16, Emily.  I love you.
