Last Game On The Schedule

"Ah summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it."

Today was the last game on the soccer schedule for Cole.   It was so hot and I can't say that it was a very good game to watch.  That's the way it is with 10 yr. olds, some days they look great and others they don't.  They lost 2-0.  Cole played part of the second half in the goal and made a terrific save.  Everyone was complimenting him on the save.  After that, he was on the field again and made some beautiful crosses, but no one could capitalize on it.  Their keeper always seemed to be RIGHT there!

They play in the "Beach Blast" tournament at the end of the month.  It is sand soccer right on the beach.  Everyone has a great time and it's a mini vacation for the families.  It's so hot, but that makes the ocean feel even better.
