Great Day With The Grands

Wednesday, we entertained 8 of our 9 Grandkids.   It was so hot, but we had a great time.  We swam, ate lunch, swam , went to the pond and  park, swam, ate dinner and swam again. The kids were exhausted, but are ready to go it again.  It was so nice having most of our California family with us.  My son won't be here until the beginning of August.

We went to the pond so the kids could feed the ducks and the fish.  The minute the kids got out of the van, the ducks came running!

The Bigs are such a help with the Littles.  

The girls usually stick together.  The loved finding all the duck feathers.

We could have used more food, but with all the kids sharing, it didn't last long.  Next we went to the playground/park for some fun.  Those pictures on another post.

On Saturday we had a baby shower for my niece, Amanda.  She is expecting a baby girl in August.  We are all so excited!

This is my niece Mandi and her mom, Shelley.

The cake and cupcakes were just beautiful.  They were all topped with cookies.

It was so hot and this fruit really tasted good!

My niece Jodi and her daughter Emily, from Long Island, NY.  Emily will soon be leaving for Messiah College.

Of course, my 4 little girls were there.  They had a really good time spending the afternoon together.

The shower was held at our local winery where the scenery is just beautiful.  It's too bad that my camera was throwing fits that day.  There were so many pictures I would have liked to take.

The Perfect Number

#10  Great news!  We will be having our 10th grandchild in January.  I'm already in love!

Camryn loves babies and she is going to be a Big Sister in January.

I think Bethany is going to have a lot of help taking care of the new baby!

My guess is another girl.  Cam said "I want a sister, is that a girl?"  Can't wait to find out.

Can't Wait

My California babies are coming to Pennsylvania this week.  They will be here for a whole month.  I can't wait to see them.

They will be staying with my daughter-in-laws parents, about an hour from us.  We are hoping to see them often. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Cali loves animals and loves talking to her fish.  I don't know what she was saying to him, but she sure was cute.

Camryn is Three

"You can have your cake and eat it too."
Last weekend we celebrated Camryn's third birthday.  Actually, she was 3 on June 3rd.  She was so excited as were her cousins Chloe and Cali.  

I asked what kind of cake she wanted and she chose a chocolate Snow White cake.  She loves cakes, always eating the icing before the cake.

Those blue eyes were so big when she was opening all the presents, even though this was the last of the parties.

She's going to the beach next weekend and was so happy to get a Princess beach towel.

She loved this dog, named "Cookie".  The dog actually barks and she carried her all over the place.  I thought one of the neighbors got a new dog and was glad to find out that it was only "Cookie" barking.

Camryn is a very sensitive little girl and always has extra hugs for Pap.  She knows my Dad has been very lonely since Mom went to a nursing home.  My Mom is in her last few weeks of life suffering from the horrible disease of Alzheimers.   

And of course, the princess tshirt.   Happy Birthday Sunshine!  Love you so much.

Happy Gotcha Day

Four years ago, May26 was Gracie's "Gotcha Day".   Just like the births of all my grandchildren, this date is a favorite.   I will never forget the moment we first saw her.

So tiny and so precious.

Four years later,  still so tiny. . .

still so precious. . .

and still so loved!!
