More Sweet 16

Sweet Sixteen

"That it will never come again is what makes '16' so sweet."

My great-niece, Emily, is 16 today.  She has turned into such a caring, beautiful girl.  Her parents hosted a beautiful party in her honor at the Hotel Hershey on Saturday evening.  Everything was gorgeous!  The food was great and it was just fun being with everyone.

She did a "Lighting of 16 Candles"  remembering good times with family and friends.  She started out with her parents then went on to her brothers, grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  It was something that I have never seen before, but I loved it.  She did such a good job with it.

They also did a ceremony that was  a "Rite of Passage"  to the age of 16 and womanhood. It was a touching ceremony and  so good to know that she has  wonderful parents there to support her through good and bad.

Happy Sweet 16, Emily.  I love you.

Sun Sprinkles

Monday was my mother's day celebration with Troy, Bethany and Camryn.  She made me White Chile and one of my favorite desserts, Strawberry Pretzel Salad.  Everything was so delicious!  They gave me a beautiful yellow rose bush called "Sun Sprinkles."  It is just perfect because I call Camryn my "Sunshine."  Now, it needs to planted, fertilized, watered and given TLC.  It will be a constant reminder of my beautiful "Sunshine."

Field Trip Continued
